Clare football’s Captain Fantastic was his typically inspirational self in the Banner County’s epic one-point Allianz Football League Division 3 Final win over Kildare on Saturday.
Brennan is one the best footballers in the country and drove Clare forward against the Lilywhites from his midfield berth.
He got on a huge amount of ball, and it was fitting that it should be he who claimed a spectacular high catch under pressure on the edge of the Kildare square and laid off the ball to Dean Ryan for a crucial equalising goal in the last minute of normal time.
