Clare Comets, a Basketball club located in Ennis are beginning their 2020/21 season this Sunday the 5th of September in the Ennis National School (off the kilrush road roundabout). Basketball, as well as being a very enjoyable sport to take part in is a great sport to maintain and improve fitness levels over the winter period, it increases and improves ball handling skills, eye to hand co-ordination, stamina, cardiovascular and is a great team sport. All skills so similar to Gaelic Football, partaking in basketball over the winter season will certainly improve and develop the skills required for other sports.
